The Scientific and Technical Committee shall annually activate the teaching of non – compulsory subjects of major interest among the students for the “Management & Development of local areas” Course.

 

LABORATORIES

 

In addition to compulsory subjects, more specific laboratories, which aim to enhance both grammar and speaking skills and to help students to learn useful working techniques shall be started.

 

Language Lab. This laboratory includes a continuous training in the field of both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting by using cutting – edge equipment. 

 

Linguistic and Theatrical Lab, with the exclusive Glottodrama method. This laboratory aims to improve English oral skills and focuses on the way to manage the voice when speaking, on elocution, and on the interaction of both verbal and non – verbal elements of the communication act. Moreover, activities of creative writing to draft texts – presentations, public speeches, reports -  are included. 

 

Italian Sign Language Lab. This laboratory includes a continuous training in translating an oral source message (Italian or foreign languages) using the Italian Sign Language.

 

Cinema, Subtitling , and Dubbing Lab. This laboratory, starting from the analysis of cinematographic and television products, includes continuous training in the field of Translation applied both to subtitling and dubbing.

Visual Presentation Lab. This laboratory provides for a continuous training in the production of multimedia presentations using the most common computer software.
